Human resource development underpins the ERDT Project where, over its duration, a significant number of research engineers with M.S. and Ph.D., who are trained to innovate, create and solve problems of practical importance, will be produced to jumpstart high-value added activities that will propel economic growth of the country. To accomplish this goal, the project offers graduate scholarships (ERDT Scholarships) to deserving and motivated graduate students.
One of the components of the ERDT Scholarship is the Research Grant. The Grant is an assistance, through the scholar’s adviser, to ensure the timely completion of the scholar’s research.

To enable doctoral students to conduct research in areas that have yet to be developed in the consortium school, or in fields of studies where research equipment is not available in the ERDT consortium, the ERDT Scholarship provides for a sandwinch program. Under the sandwich program, research activities of the student will be carried out overseas.

The grant is an assistance to ensure that the scholar will be able to complete the writing of his thesis/dissertation on time.
